François Victor Tochon holds a doctorate in
didactics (Laval University) and a doctorate in educational psychology
(University of Ottawa). For twenty years, he has been active as a
facilitator and teacher educator. He taught at the University of Geneva and
the University of Manitoba before coming to the University of Sherbrooke
(Quebec), and is currently in the departments of Education and French at the
University of Wisconsin at Madison. François has been a visiting professor
at Brussels University, the University of Toronto, Paris 5, Nanterre, the
University of Hanoi, and Princeton University. He has published a dozen
books and over a hundred scholarly articles and book chapters which have won
him international recognition.
